EllyPop’s October Recap: Naturopathic Conferences, Pediatric Wellness & New Partnerships

October was a big month for the EllyPop team, full of learning, connecting, and growing within our naturopathic and pediatric wellness communities.

From thought-provoking lectures to meaningful new partnerships, our founders spent the month attending several incredible conferences around Oregon, each reaffirming why EllyPop exists: to support kids’ health naturally, from hydration to overall well-being.

Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OANP)

We loved connecting with colleagues from across the state and diving into thoughtful, forward-thinking lectures on Hormones Across the Lifespan and Ethical Considerations for Supporting Reproduction in LGBTQ+ Families.

We also set up new wholesale partnerships, including Yakima Integrative Health with Dr. Joy Nauman, another step toward making EllyPop available to even more families seeking natural, doctor-formulated hydration.

Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians (PedANP)

Dr. Amanda Watters presenting at the PedANP Conference

This conference was an inspiring opportunity to learn from both MD and ND providers who have been offering integrative care for decades, including Dr. Richard Frye, Dr. Eric Yarnell, and Dr. Jill Crista.

Our own Dr. Amanda Watters presented two sessions:

  • Supporting Anxious Youth: Sharing tools to help parents respond to anxiety with compassion, including resources like SPACE Treatment, creative strategies like the “Worry Monster,” and crisis support via Crisis Text Line.
  • Sexual Health & Development: Discussing how to model consent in the clinical setting, what behaviors are developmentally typical, and key red flags clinicians should watch for to ensure child safety.

These conversations continue to shape how we approach education, empathy, and care, all of which align with EllyPop’s mission to nurture kids’ wellness naturally.

Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Pediatric Annual Review

At OHSU, pediatric anxiety was a major theme, and an important one. Presentations included incredible insights on helping children develop resilience and independence, featuring the resource Let Grow.

Another powerful session on screen time offered practical guidance for families, recommending Wait Until 8th and Common Sense Media to help parents navigate digital life with intention.

Looking Ahead

We left these conferences inspired, motivated, and grateful to be part of such a thoughtful medical community. Every event reinforces why EllyPop exists, to make clean, doctor-formulated hydration simple, natural, and fun for kids.

To everyone we met along the way, thank you for the conversations, connections, and inspiration.
